To visit...

On Saturday, July 16, two great shows are on the books. The Designers Downtown Market in Raleigh, NC features "fine locally made arts and crafts with an outdoor big city feel." They have two more events coming up in the fall, so crafters in the Raleigh area should sign up now.

Also on July 16 is the Indie Banditas Bazaar in Bainbridge Island, WA. Over 30 artists from the Seattle/Portland area will display their "funky, unique handmade crafts."

To show...

The Urban Folk Art Show is accepting vendors for its October 7-9 event in Hillsboro, OR and its November 4-6 show in Carmel, IN.

The Girlie Show (an "art show with a curve") sports an all-female cast of artists, November 4-5 in Oklahoma City, OK. Ladies, you can apply here until August 19.

Bloomington Handmade Market in Bloomington, IN will take place on November 12, with applications available between July 25 and September 5.

The Indiemade Craft Market in Allentown, PA is now accepting applications for their December 3 event.

To inspire...

From June 6 through July 6, Toronto-based Labspace Studio launched the Moments Intercepted project, one of a larger three-part journey known as the (re)collection project. For this installment, artist collaborators from across North America documented their everyday moments in the form of miniature art projects. Challenges included "Make something old new" and "Play with fire."

If you're in Toronto area, you can visit an exhibition of the work at Labspace Studio from July 22-15 (opening party goes from 7:00 pm - 1:00 am on Friday, July 22).
