Using News

If you have press clippings (text, images, blog links, etc.), this is a great place to share them.

Under content, go to news and click + Add a New News Story.

main news page

The Create News Story box will appear. Enter your story’s title in the Title box and any tags in the Tags box. Type your page content into the Body box and upload an image to go with your story. Click the “Save” button at the bottom to create your new page.

Add news

The image you choose to go with your news story can be anything you like, but many IndieMade customers choose the magazine cover, newspaper logo, or the like.

thanks you so much for your help thus far. my website is shaping up nicely, and I'm very pleased.

I just need to know if I can receive emails and or customer questions, directly to my site, or if it has to be sent to my email.

Also, is there a place for the customer to leave me their email address directly on my site, of will I only get it when they use Paypal?

For instance, having a guest book, or leaving comments, of for a mailing list, etc.

Thanks for your help, and I look forward to your reply!

Hi Mary, just FYI I posted a tutorial on embedding a MailChimp newsletter subscription form in the forums. You can use the same approach for a number of different embeddable forms.

We are soooooo happy to hear how pleased you are with your site.  Thanks for letting us know!

Re:  email & contact info

A contact form is included with every website - a completed contact form becomes an email to you. It willl go to the email address you provided during set up.  Some people use this to collect names for a mailing list.  However, a better plan (in my opinion) is to create a page/landing page for email subscribers.  Using IndieMade's Rich Text Editor (WYSIWYG editor), you can embed a form from your email marketing provider like Mail Chimp or Constant Contact.  Or you could create a form from Wufoo or similar service to accomplish the same thing.  I hope this helps.

Hi Malcolm, if you upload an image, the placeholder image will be removed.
